Exit
Bootstrapped to a successful exit

The Problem

Nurse aide credentialing requires managing 35+ states with different requirements. Disconnected testing centers, state licensing boards, healthcare facilities, background checks, primary source verification — all communicating via phone, fax, and manual data entry. In 2005, the industry operated on paper. Testing companies shipped physical exam materials. State boards maintained paper registries. Average turnaround: 2-4 weeks.

What We Built & Operated

Kevin built the Conductor platform from scratch and operated the business on top of it as CEO for 12 years. Complete end-to-end automation spanning evaluator hiring, payment processing, scheduling, scoring, compliance, and state database integration. 13 major system modules. Multi-portal architecture serving admins, evaluators, facilities, and regional test sites. Integrated with ADP, TriNet, QuickBooks, Paychex, and 20+ state licensing databases.

Bootstrapped, profitable from year one, no outside capital. The platform became the industry standard for nurse aide credentialing — clients operated on it daily across 35 states for over a decade. Every feature addressed a specific pain point experienced firsthand as CEO.

Automation Impact

  • Dramatic staff reduction — automation let a small team outperform organizations many times our size
  • 40 hours/week saved — automated reconciliation eliminated manual cross-checking with state databases
  • 90% reduction in emergencies — automated renewal reminders eliminated most expiration crises
  • $200K+ annual savings — mobile exam platform (SCORE) eliminated physical test distribution entirely

Independent Audit

Independent third-party technical audit confirmed the platform ranked in the top 5-10% of custom enterprise applications by scale, complexity, and longevity. 2TB+ production database with 500M+ archived transactions. Complete code ownership throughout.

The Exit

Successful exit after 18 years of operation. Platform continues under new ownership, processing certifications across 35+ states. When contracts came up for renewal, we kept winning — clients operated on the platform for over a decade.

"Platform ran flawlessly for 18 years. Zero downtime during state audits. The automation Kevin built handled everything we threw at it."— Director of Operations, Credentialing

StarFloors

Flooring Installation Management System

Fortune 500 Senior Living Provider | 9+ Years Operational

5K+
Monthly transactions
9+
Years operational

The Problem

Senior living facilities require constant flooring maintenance across hundreds of units per property. The previous workflow was phone calls, spreadsheets, and paper forms. No vendor performance visibility. No standardized pricing. Chaotic compliance documentation. Regional managers couldn't track multi-facility projects. Finance couldn't reconcile invoices against work orders. Facility directors were drowning in administrative burden.

What We Built

Multi-portal system: facility portal for work order creation, vendor portal for job acceptance and documentation, regional management portal for oversight, finance portal for invoice reconciliation, and corporate portal for analytics and compliance. Automated workflow routing, vendor scheduling, photo documentation, compliance tracking, and invoice reconciliation. Optimized for tablet use on job sites.

Results

  • Major productivity gains — facility managers spending dramatically less time on admin work
  • Project completion times cut significantly — faster turnaround on flooring installations
  • 5,000+ monthly transactions — processing thousands of work orders, updates, and invoices
  • 9+ years operational — still running across Fortune 500 senior living facilities
"This system eliminated most of our administrative overhead. What used to take days now happens automatically. Best investment we ever made."— Regional Director, Fortune 500 Senior Living Operator

Track & Trace

Rail Logistics Platform

Active Client Platform

The Problem

Rail logistics operators needed real-time visibility into freight movements across Class I railroad networks — a fragmented environment where data comes from multiple carriers in different formats and operational decisions depend on accurate, timely tracking.

What We Built

Enterprise integration platform consolidating tracking data from multiple Class I railroad systems into a unified interface. Architecture built for longevity — designed for the slow-changing but unforgiving nature of railroad operations where systems need to run for years without rewrites.

Results

  • Unified tracking across multiple Class I railroads
  • Real-time freight visibility for operational decision-making
  • Platform remains in active operation today

IntelliSite

Campground & Resort Operations Platform

Thousand Trails / Equity LifeStyle Properties (ELS) | Active

The Problem

Thousand Trails / ELS operates a nationwide network of campgrounds and RV resorts, each with its own operational demands — reservations, guest management, site maintenance, staffing — all needing to work consistently across dozens of locations.

What We Built

Comprehensive operations platform designed to bring standardization to inherently variable, real-world environments. The system handles the messiness of physical operations while ensuring that a guest at one property has the same quality experience as a guest at any other. Person A gets the same quality as person B.

Results

  • Standardized operations across the nationwide Thousand Trails / ELS network
  • Consistent guest experience across all locations
  • Operational backbone still in active use today
